Gus St. Anthony
Gus St. Anthony is a commercial artist/cartoonist/caricaturist with more than five decades of experience in fabric and Tee-shirt design. Starting out during the early sixties with a commercial art studio in Greenwich Village, he moved to a more spacious work environment in Midtown Manhattan in 1969. Clients like AT&T, ITT, Estee Lauder, Grant Stores, The US Army Recruiting Command, Volkswagen of America, Sears, Macy's and Ross Industries utilized his creative services.

Gus moved to the Catskill Region in upper New York State in 1971 and operated his commercial art and design business in those beautiful mountains for the next twenty years. He attended NYU night courses at the New Paltz Campus and in 1984, became a State Certified Vocational Commercial Arts Instructor, Level II.

During those years, Gus was also the house caricaturist at the world-famous Concord Hotel in Kiamesha. His caricatures on paper and on Tee-shirts can be found in countries all over the world.
He also learned to be a private pilot and enjoyed flying a Piper Cherokee 140B over the same landscapes he serviced as an artist on the ground.

Afte more than twenty years of doing art and teaching art in the NY countryside, Gus moved to the West Coast of Florida in 1991. He set up shop on a quaint little island called Matlacha just North of Sanibel and a bit West of Ft. Myers. From there, along with doing Tee-Shirt designs, Real Estate art and comic book illustrations, Gus also wrote and drew a weekly comic feature called "History Highlights of Florida" and another called "The Byrds", a cartoon feature for seniors, which is still running in some magazines in the US and Europe.
